STORAGE & PACKING TIPS
- Use uniform size boxes when possible.
- Create an aisle so you can easily access the things you need.
- Label boxes on all sides and make a list of the contents.
- Pack items that you will be frequently accessing towards the front - common sense, we know.
- Use bubble wrap, styrofaom chips, and plain newsprint to protect breakable items.
- Mark 'fragile' boxes where needed.
- lift contents off of the concrete using palettes.
- Use oil protective pads under all motors to protect the floor from any leaks or spills.
- If storing appliances be sure to clean them out first! Leave the door slightly open on refrigerators and mocrowaves to prevent mildew. Deter odor with baking soda.
- Use wardrobe boxes to hang clothes of fold and store in dresser drawers.
- Wrap glasswear such as dishes, cups, glasses, etc. individually and then wrap in bundles of four with bubble wrap.
- Mirrors, screens or windows should be wrapped in cardboard and stored on an edge.
